چکیده

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the initial and long-term outcomes Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasty (PTA) for central venous stenosis or occlusion in chronic hemodialysis patients. A total 363 lesions (277 86 occluded lesions) 146 patients were enrolled analyzed retrospectively; these included 130 de novo 233 restenosis lesions. procedural success rate our cohort 97.0% (352/363 lesions); significantly higher than that (99.3% vs. 89.5%, P < 0.001). Complications during PTA procedures occurred nine (2.5%); however, there no serious complications. 120 stents implanted 111 lesions; stent placement (68.8% 18.4%, The primary patency (P = 0.0004); assisted at 12 36 months 94.4% 89.0%, respectively. There significant difference between balloon angioplasty lesions, after 0.001). In conclusion, safe procedure with low technical failure. vascular access maintained by repeated intervention. Stent could help prolong period

Long-term outcomes of primary angioplasty and primary stenting of central venous stenosis in hemodialysis patients.

INTRODUCTION Central (superior vena cava, brachiocephalic, or subclavian) venous stenoses are a major impediment to long-term arteriovenous access in the upper extremities. The optimal management of these stenoses is still undecided. The purpose of this study was to determine the outcomes of primary angioplasty (PTA) vs primary stenting (PTS) in a dialysis access population at a tertiary referr...

Long-segment arterial occlusion: percutaneous transluminal angioplasty.

In cases of occlusion of the superficial femoral artery exceeding a length of 10 cm, accompanied by involvement of the popliteal artery and poor runoff, percutaneous transluminal angioplasty is unfavorable. However, when such advanced occlusive disease is present in patients for whom vascular surgery is not feasible, this technique can be of value by averting or at least postponing amputation. ...

Long-Term Durability of Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasty in Patients with Symptomatic Middle Cerebral Artery Stenosis

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) is being increasingly used in the treatment of symptomatic middle cerebral artery (MCA) stenosis. We evaluated the long-term durability after PTA for symptomatic MCA stenosis. METHODS We analyzed consecutive patients included in our stroke database who were treated with angioplasty alone. The subjects without major periprocedu...

Cilostazol improves long-term patency after percutaneous transluminal angioplasty in hemodialysis patients with peripheral artery disease.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is common in patients on hemodialysis (HD). Recently, cilostazol has been reported to reduce target lesion revascularization (TLR) after percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) for PAD in the general population. This study aimed to clarify the effects of cilostazol administration on long-term patency after PTA in HD patients. DESIG...
